Jennifer P. Gardner is a Strategist, Cultural Historian, Afrocentric Entrepreneur, Hip Hop Scholar, Mother, and self-proclaimed “professional student of loving life".” She is dedicated to seeking knowledge in unconventional ways. Born and raised in the commercially diverse South Side of Chicago, she is accustomed to understanding and connecting the nuances of building community using esteem, confidence, and satisfaction as a catalyst of change.

Prior to starting her consulting firm, JPG Consulting, Jennifer had a distinguished career in journalism as a writer for several publications, including Ruby Hornet Music. She has served as the Lead Curriculum Writer for non-profit educational programs such as Knights of Omega Mentorship Program (Chicago, IL) and The Re-Education Project Houston (Houston, TX) and formally as a Marketing & Media Coordinator for The ROZ Group (Philadelphia, PA). Her consultations have provided solutions in marketing, communications, operation strategy, diversity, equity and inclusion training and digital brand awareness services to several small businesses nationwide. In addition, her consultations have provided measurable support to individuals in the creative community such as self-published authors, other Afrocentric Entrepreneurs, Hip Hop artists, Creative Directors, and more.

Jennifer has served on several Executive Boards, volunteered on previous Mayoral political campaigns and volunteers regularly with organizations that are focused on the health and environmental sustainability in underprivileged communities. She is the Founder & Content Creator of Small Pink Dreams blog, the CEO and Business Consultant of JPG Consulting, and MatchMaker of Surely Made Match.

She holds a Master of Arts in Africology & African American Studies from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) and Bachelor of Arts in African & Black Diaspora Studies and in International Studies. In her current role, she works as the Assistant Director for The Center for Black Diaspora at DePaul University. Of all of her achievements, Jennifer is most honored to be the mother of her son.
